The Benefits of Vaping

Quitting cigarettes is a bit of an obvious move when it comes to improving your health. Vaping is not a smoking cessation. It will not cure your addiction to nicotine. It is  simply a safer alternative to cigarettes.

The tobacco industry is a group of companies feeding off your addiction and surviving through your continued addiction They will and have done many unethical things to hang onto your custom. The vaping industry and community was born out of smokers looking for a cleaner and healthier alternative to tobacco and therefore arguably an industry interested in your wellbeing rather than feeding off your addiction.  I am one of those ex-smokers who discovered vaping. After smoking for 20+ years it was the first thing that ever helped and continues to help. I can honestly say i would never return to cigarettes. I have since introduced my friends and family to the healthier alternative. I, along with my friend and now business partner  have started Fumescape ltd. We have now helped hundreds of people to kick the habit of cigarettes. 

Again, I must emphasise that no one is claiming to cure your addiction to nicotine. Vaping gives you the one thing you crave from regular cigarettes. Vaping mimics the delivery system. Vaping replaces the habit that smokers have. Vaping does this without you losing the social side to being a smoker. You can if you wish still sit outside and join in the chit chat that comes with being a smoker or you can choose to vape indoors without the fear of passing on second hand smoke to your non-smoking friends. No one is going to berate you for smelling of oranges, pineapples or toffee cheese cake!
When you switch from cigarettes to vaping it quickly becomes apparent how effective it is. You soon realise that cigarettes are no longer needed. It is essentially quitting without will power. You will wonder why you ever smoked in the first place. I don't think i'm going too far by calling this a revelation. The benefits of vaping quickly become apparent.

When you stub out the cigarette and start vaping, it will take 30 minutes for your blood pressure to return to normal. In the following 8 hours your body  will rid itself of the excess carbon monoxide. Even a smoker goes through this proccess but as you have started vaping and won’t return to cigarettes and the next phase will be noticeable. Over the next 24 hours you will start to clear your lungs. This can go on for days and is common when you quit smoking. It takes around 5 days for your sense of smell and taste to return. A packet of cheese and onion crisps will taste amazing! Within a week your energy level will increase and you will find it easier to breathe. One of the base ingredients of E-juice is Vegetable glycerine. This is found in baking products to keep the bread moist. It does this by soaking up and holding the moisture. The effects of this can be experienced whilst vaping. You will find you may be thirstier than normal. It is important to keep yourself hydrated as you should anyway.

Over the next few months your circulation will improve and your lungs regain the ability to clean themselves. You will probably notice less if not no coughing and wheezing. People will notice improvements the condition of your skin . These are not half-truths. These are factual studies from NHS professionals regarding quitting smoking coupled with my own and others experiences of quitting smoking in favour of vaping.

Within 12 months you are well on your way to ridding yourself of the health risks associated with cigarettes. Your risk of heart disease is halved. In 5 years your risk of a stroke is dramatically decreased and 10 years on from quitting cigarettes your risk of lung cancer will be half that of a smoker. And if that isn’t enough, put the money you would spend on 20 cigarettes a day in a jar and 10 years from the day you quit smoking you would have saved well over £30,000. And that’s if the chancellor freezes tax on tobacco today!!

No one is suggesting vaping is good for you. But it can be said, if you are a smoker, it is certainly better for you. If you manage to quit cigarettes cold turkey then power to you, but if you enjoy smoking, find it hard to quit or you are forced to quit then technology has made it easier.
Every cigarette you don’t smoke is doing you good.
